For generations, New York City has been a haven for artists, musicians, and creative minds from around the world. The city has nurtured, inspired, and protected them, establishing itself as a global center for the arts.
Join us in the beautiful Red Ballroom for a special celebration of the contributions of New York’s musical greats: Sergei Rachmaninoff, George Gershwin, Samuel Barber, and Antonín Dvořák. Pianists Hayk Arsenyan and Walter Aparicio will perform a stunning program of works for piano four hands, including Six Pieces for Four Hands, Op. 11 by Rachmaninoff, Souvenirs (1952), Suite for Piano Four Hands, Op. 28 by Barber, selections from Slavonic Dances by Dvořák, and Three Preludes by Gershwin.
This concert marks Walter Aparicio’s debut at Old Westbury Gardens. He has performed at Carnegie Hall, Steinway Hall, and Symphony Space in New York and internationally at the International Academy in St. Petersburg, the Beijing International Festival, the Barcelona International Academy, and the Festival Internacional de la Interculturalidad in his native Bolivia.
