Old Westbury Gardens invites you to Majestic Melodies: An Evening of Piano and Song in the stunning Music Room in Westbury House. This captivating concert, spanning an array of musical styles and genres, pairs the dazzling vocals of Broadway star Nathaniel Hackmann with the virtuosic talent of pianist Philip Edward Fisher for a performance that promises to enchant audiences with its range, depth and timelessness.

We are honored to host this extraordinary evening of musical excellence and to share the remarkable talents of Nathaniel Hackmann and Philip Edward Fisher with our community.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS

Nathaniel Hackmann (he/him) is an acclaimed actor and singer with international credits. He recently created the role of Biff Tannen in Back to the Future: The Musical and has portrayed iconic roles like Jean Valjean and Javert in Les Misérables on Broadway, as well as leading roles in Jekyll and Hyde and The Hunchback of Notre Dame. Hackmann has performed with renowned orchestras, including the BBC Proms at Royal Albert Hall, where he appeared as Curly in Oklahoma and Gaby in On The Town. His recordings include Paint Your Wagon, Oklahoma, Carousel, and the upcoming Guys and Dolls.

Philip Edward Fisher is a renowned pianist celebrated for his refined style and versatility. He has performed worldwide and recorded extensively, including Handel Keyboard Suites for Naxos and Piano Works by "The Mighty Handful" for Chandos, which earned critical acclaim and multiple accolades. His recent Naxos release features the complete solo piano works of John Corigliano, including the Piano Concerto with the Albany Symphony. Fisher has appeared as a concerto soloist with ensembles such as the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, Copenhagen Philharmonic, and Albany Symphony, collaborating with prominent conductors like Hannu Lintu and Cristian Macelaru.

A graduate of the Royal Academy of Music and Juilliard School, he studied under Christopher Elton, Joseph Kalichstein, and Jerome Lowenthal. In 2001, he received the Julius Isserlis Scholarship from the Royal Philharmonic Society and was named an Associate of the Royal Academy of Music in 2016.
