Old Westbury Gardens enthusiastically invites you to celebrate the glorious Spring season on Saturday, May 18th with a festive Gardeners' Fair benefit party chaired by Anne Byers. We are proud to honor Tom Samet noted Long Island interior designer who specializes in adapting traditional design styles such as the American County House to meet the needs of today's families. This year's magical theme "A Special Time" is a celebration of the classics as we honor the 60th Anniversary of the grand opening of Old Westbury Gardens. In the Spring of 1959 the Gardens opened its gates to welcome visitors and thus Peggie Phipps Boegner plan to create a public garden in her mother's honor came to fruition. For 27 years, this lively Gardeners' Fair event has highlighted the mission of Old Westbury Gardens, the ongoing preservation of this treasure in the Long Island community.
